Rules, Dahling
Yep. I can hear your groan from here. "Rules..."
Ya know, I don't like them, either. In my opinion, they're a huge drag. I absolutely hate spending more than five minutes on a forum's rules page. But, no matter how much you despise them, they can't be ignored; they're here to keep the world in order and make sure that this site is a fun experience for everyone involved.
Don't get the wrong idea and think that I'm giving you room to slack. I will enforce these rules. However, lucky for you, I am also a fair person. I will give you plenty of chances to redeem yourself. Typically I employ a four-warning system: First offense gets a disapproving, but nice PM asking you to fix your conduct; second offense gets another PM, and perhaps a brief ban of all characters; third offense is like before; and the fourth time is when I have to boot you out.
I have the warning system disabled and I dearly hope to never have to ban or delete a member for repeated rules violations, but if someone is persistent and rude enough I am not afraid to hit the termination button.

one, please be respectful of all members and characters. I guarantee that you will be a lot happier, and you will have better roleplay experiences.
two, respect the decisions of staff, especially the head admin Bry. She has worked hard to make this site fun and a great creative sandbox for all.
three, This is probably the most important rule I will type- PLEASE THINK BEFORE YOU HIT THE SEND BUTTON! Reread your posts if you have to! If anything you have written might be hurtful to others, don't splash it on the forum for all to see.
four, I do recommend that roleplayers be over the age of eighteen, sixteen at the earliest, due to the slightly graphic nature of the plot. There will be some violence and language.
five, however, the latter does not mean that R- or M- or X- rated content is allowed on a free-flung thread available for all. Please no sexual scenes; if a thread happens to lead in that direction, mark it in the title and fade to black when things get beyond a PG-13 rating- also known as a light scene from Fifty Shades of Grey. If it contains excessive violence or gore, please mark it as well. [M], (M), {M}, any form of those work.
six, do not spam or troll the forum or chatbox. I have short nerves when it comes to that kind of thing, so for your safety and pride, don't try me.
seven, don't go ranting about the board or another member in the forum or shoutbox. If you have a concern or critique, please PM a staff member.
eight no godmodding or minimodding is allowed on the board at any time. Let staff deal with the big issues.
nine, speaking from personal experience, I know that accidents can happen, spur of the moment sentences can go wrong, and if it was unintentional, i will excuse powerplaying, Mary-sues, and Gary-stus. However if the problem persists after a person in charge has called it out, there will quickly be a warning in your inbox.
ten, If you possibly can, try to check in at least once a day. If you are going to be absent, please let us know in advance in the Absences board. We promise that we will take good care of your characters while you are away.
eleven, this site has no official word count, but please make every post as descriptive and packed with creative energy and muse as you possibly can. As for writers' block and muse levels at rock bottom, I am not completely free of that either, but try your best even when nothing's coming readily to mind.
twelve, one roleplayer may have as many characters as they feel they can handle. Please try to keep them all involved in plots, though; I don't want to see a lot of characters just sitting around doing nothing, not getting involved in any threads.
thirteen, Please, one account per character. No out of character accounts are allowed unless they are staff accounts.
fourteen, Just have fun! You are among friends so please just relax, be yourself, and enjoy the ride.
fifteen, staff reserve the right to add and subtract rules as needed.
THANKS BEE
